Use Storyfyre Origin to create and describe great characters for your story. It's fun, motivating. The more you know about your characters, the easier it is to write the story.
Characters are the life-blood of stories, they tell and show your story.
Understanding your characters helps you learn where your story is going.
Use your Characters to let your character and story imagination roam. Characters and your Storyfyre Origin characters view are an important part of your story bible.

What this Tutorial Covers
Basics
The Characters View consists of a set of easy and quick-to-use areas to help you create, map, plan, and organize your characters better after you write them or when you originally create them.
The characters view makes the best of your writing and thought time, to create better characters, stories, and even more writing time.
It also includes the ability to create, edit, and even reorder/move your characters and their character attributes.
* In a future version you'll even be able to filter your characters based on story and user created tags, filters, character/story tags etc... And you'll be able to label and group your character attributes.
The characters view flexibly helps you do it your way, no matter what writing or character process you use. It keeps the fun in characters and writing, but removes the work, makes the work fun.
How to Use
- Create, fix, plan, edit, name, rename, rewrite, or add an existing character, after you write them.
- Create, plan, organize a character before you write them.
- Download character information from your story bible, story map, scene map, characters view using that infomation in other places.
- Understand, think through, add to, and fix a character that isn't quite working.
- Generate momentum in your story or novel by concentrating on its characters for a while.
- Create a character bible, story bible, scene bible, characters view for your story, novel, book.
- Take your character bible, story bible, scene bible, characters view for your story, novel, book along with you on any device to view or work on, anywhere.
- Plan, write, a screenplay, article, thesis, speech, story or other written item based on your characters.
- Quickly understand/redo characters in a story for a tighter, better story.
- Clean a novel or book's characters up before publishing the book/story.
- Make sure a novel or book's characters are right, before putting it out for beta reading.

Get Started
The Storyfyre Origin Characters is divided into:
- The Top Menu
- View and Filters Area
- Area Toolbar
- The Characters Work Area
- Left and Right Side Scroll Buttons
- And depending upon your writing device screen size a left hand Hover Action Menu
(On smaller screen devices the left hand Hover Action Menu is hidden under a three-line hamburger menu on the top menu.)
Click, tap(touch), hold down Left and Right Side Scroll Buttons to scroll. Double-click/double-tap(touch) scroll buttons for fast scroll to beginning or end.
(Larger screens will display the left hand Hover Action Menu.)
The Top Menu is the same for all areas of the software.
On the Characters Top Menu we have added an Add Character quick action icon button for quickly adding characters to the Characters area. It is also found on and usable from the area's Characters toolbar.
Or you can use the 3 dot ellipsis Create/Customize menu icon button located on the Top Menu to quickly add characters to the Characters Area and to access all the Create/Customize menu features.

Use the Characters Quick Tips found on the Area's Toolbar under the help icon button for more fast start information.
The Characters Quick Tips help you quickly start using the Characters Area to create/map/plan/replan a story, and character and character attributes.

Limits
We know of some limits within Storyfyre Origin, in each area we will try and list the ones we know of at the bottom, and ones which we intend to address with our future updates.
